Compensation: $36.77 per hour | Non-Exempt

About Meridian:
Meridian Behavioral Healthcare is a well-established, private non-profit organization dedicated to serving the mental health community since the 1960s. We have expanded our services across 13 counties in North Central Florida, employing a multidisciplinary approach to support individuals facing mental health challenges and substance use disorders. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial physical assessments and perform ongoing evaluations.
  • Develop and implement Treatment Plans and Nursing Care Plans.
  • Provide education and discharge preparation for clients and their families/significant others.
  • Initiate, verify, and execute physician orders, transcribing to the Medication Administration Record as necessary.
  • Take a leadership role during crisis or emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Manager and HR Staffing to ensure appropriate staffing levels based on patient census and acuity.
  • Identify clients at risk for self-harm or harm to others and implement measures to mitigate risks.

Qualifications:
  • Active RN license in the State of Florida.
  • Preferred experience in an inpatient psychiatric unit.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with mental health populations, crisis units, substance use, corrections, or psychiatric settings.
  • Experience must be obtained while utilizing the respective license.
