Job Description

Cocreham Brick & Stone Inc. specializes in new and antique brick for both residential and commercial applications throughout the Greater Baton Rouge and surrounding area.

We are seeking an experienced CDL driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for making deliveries of products to customers in the Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver products to customers in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
  • Operate boom or truck-mounted forklift to load/unload products.
  • Inspect products prior to loading for accuracy to delivery ticket description.
  • Maintain delivery schedule and coordinate activities daily with the dispatch team.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance; may lift over 50 pounds with or without assistance.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require prolonged sitting, standing, reaching, climbing, lifting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
  • Inspect delivery vehicle daily, ensuring the safety and security of the equipment and product during the full delivery process.
  • Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Previous CDL driving experience required.
  • Class A or B CDL with airbrake endorsement.
  • Clear driving record.
  • Valid DOT medical certificate.
  • Punctuality, attendance, and dependability are essential in this role.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to accept and follow direction as provided by manager.
