About the JobThis is an exciting opportunity to work as a Mammography Technologist in a dynamic environment with state-of-the-art equipment. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in mammography and possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
The selected candidate will be responsible for performing mammography studies, ensuring accurate image quality, and maintaining patient records. They will also be expected to follow established standards and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance as needed
- Conduct mammography studies and maintain production and quality of mammograms
- Maintain accurate patient records and utilize the McKesson PACS system
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
- At least 1 year of experience in mammography
- ARRT (M) National Certification with registration in mammography
- BLS certification
- State-specific licensing when required
Candidates should also possess excellent physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods and lift equipment as needed. A sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is also essential.
