Job Overview

In response to growing demand, we are looking to recruit a knowledgeable and results-driven professional with a solid work background for the position of Road Service Mechanic.

Compensation:

$30 - $35 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

As a Road Service Mechanic, your duties will include:

  • Conducting routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on refrigerated, chassis, and intermodal equipment.
  • Performing PM/FHWA inspections.
  • Executing the majority of repair work and maintenance at customer locations or during off-site breakdowns.
  • Adhering to paper-flow procedures, including accurate documentation of mileage/hours, tagging and saving all warranty and core parts, and recording all repairs performed.
  • Keeping the work area and equipment organized and clean.
Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • Strong knowledge of brake systems and suspensions.
  • Understanding of hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with refrigeration units and associated components.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems on equipment.
  • Welding and cutting skills.
  • Experience with DOT inspections.
  • A minimum of 3 years of prior experience as a mechanic.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
  • The capacity to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • A Class A or B CDL is advantageous.
  • A clean driving record.
