Position OverviewThe purpose of this position is to provide high-quality patient care as a Registered Nurse in our Telemetry/PCU department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prioritize, and provide proficient nursing care, applying advanced clinical knowledge and skills to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Follow physician orders and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Adhere to infection control, isolation procedures, and aseptic techniques in the delivery of patient care.
- Collect laboratory samples, perform lab testing, and assemble equipment and supplies for diagnostic or treatment procedures.
- Perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures, handling care in accordance with legal, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform quality assessment activities and document as assigned.
- Attend staff meetings and other company-sponsored meetings as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Associate's Degree or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions, required.
- 2+ years full-time RN experience in Telemetry/ICU or 2+ years combination experience in related healthcare positions, required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required; PALS strongly preferred.
