About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist Retail Specialist to join our team at Children's Wisconsin. As a key member of our Skywalk Pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional retail pharmacy services to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive retail pharmacy services, including consultation, compounding, and dispensing medications and other pharmaceutical supplies, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Review prescriptions and obtain clarifications as necessary, and regularly consult with medical staff, nursing personnel, and others to coordinate high-quality pharmaceutical services.
  • Coordinate and closely review activities of pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth and efficient operations in accordance with federal and state regulations and internal policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, with completion of all required internship hours, and current Wisconsin State Pharmacist license.
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and investigate prescription problems with the healthcare team.
  • Competence in non-sterile compounding.
  • Excellent customer service skills to support a community pharmacy environment.
  • Ability to administer vaccines, meeting all requirements as outlined in Wisconsin state statute (450.035 Administration of drug products and devices; vaccines).
