About the Role:
A prominent general contracting firm on the West Coast is in search of a dedicated and skilled Estimator to contribute significantly to their project achievements. This position entails delivering precise and prompt cost assessments for construction endeavors across the San Diego region. You will work in close collaboration with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and engineers to ensure that estimates are in harmony with project objectives and financial plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop thorough and competitive cost assessments for construction projects, employing industry-standard estimating software.
- Examine project documentation, specifications, and drawings to fully comprehend project scope and requirements.
- Work alongside project teams to ensure that estimates align with project objectives and address potential issues.
- Gather and assess bids from subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
- Monitor and manage project budgets throughout the construction process.
- Foster and maintain strong professional relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors in the San Diego area.
Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience in construction estimating, demonstrating a successful track record in the San Diego market.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction materials, techniques, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Capability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
