Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school-based team in Redlands, CA. The successful candidate will work with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Provide direct therapy to students in both individual and group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities, promoting a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Track and document student progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals for students, ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive approach to education.
  • Offer training and resources to teachers and families to support students' speech and language development in various environments, fostering a culture of collaboration and support.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid California state SLP license, with ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Proven experience in school-based settings, with a strong understanding of educational environments and the needs of students with speech and language disorders.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, prioritizing student needs and outcomes.
