As a key member of our healthcare family, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our hospital's mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our community.
About the RoleAs a Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse RN, you will be responsible for performing special procedures in the outpatient room, including DSE, TEE's, Cardioversion's, and Tilt's. You will also transport patients to and from the Cath Lab, perform and document care for all admissions and recovery room patients, and serve as a liaison for the Cath Lab to promote physician, interdepartmental, and intra-departmental relationships.
Responsibilities- Administer medications using all routes as ordered
- Participate in continuing education on the unit
- Effectively communicate verbal and written information, instruction, or education to the patient, family members, and other members of the healthcare team as appropriate
- Responsible for all phases of digital/filmless CD system
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
- Current BLS & ACLS certification
- At least one year ICU/CCU or comparable ER, cath lab, or recovery experience
