Job Overview

Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Section Leader, Mammography/Sonography, the Ultrasound Technologist employs advanced ultrasound technology and various diagnostic methods to assist in medical evaluations. This role involves generating and analyzing ultrasound images along with associated data.

Essential Qualifications
Education
Completion of an accredited educational program that qualifies for ARDMS certification.

Experience
Prior experience in sonography is highly desirable.

Licensure and Certification
Must possess current ARDMS registration or be ARDMS-eligible with certification obtained within one year of employment.

Certifications
BLS certification for healthcare providers is mandatory.

Required Skills
Proficiency in ultrasound imaging techniques across vascular, OBGYN, abdominal, and small parts is essential.
Ability to comprehend both verbal and written medical, radiological, and sonographic terminology is necessary.
Understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and its correlation with anatomical structures is required.
Capability to recognize pathological conditions is crucial.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required.
Basic computer skills are necessary.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of patient information is expected.
