POSITION SUMMARY: The primary function of this role is to provide assistance to the Ag Loan Officer and management in executing daily operations as outlined below.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or GED is mandatory, with a preference for one to two years of college education; training in agriculture or business is advantageous. A background of two to four years in finance or accounting is essential, with some experience in agricultural lending preferred. Familiarity with real estate is beneficial but not essential.

JOB COMPLEXITY: This position involves moderately complex tasks that require the adaptation and interpretation of established practices and procedures to address unique challenges. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and reporting are crucial due to their significant impact on customer relations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Process payment requests via checks and wire transfers.
  • Maintain a comprehensive log of loan disbursements.
  • Gather necessary documentation for loan closures.
  • Assist the loan officer in preparing loan committee packages.
  • Order appraisals, title work, verifications, and other essential documentation for loans.
  • Schedule and request required reports.
  • Manage written and verbal communication with clients.
  • Input financial data into computer systems using Excel and Word.
  • Organize and file documents in loan files.
  • Support management with special projects as needed.
  • Oversee office operations in the absence of the manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proficiency with computers, calculators, fax machines, and copiers is required. A strong background in Excel and Word is essential. Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills are a must. We are looking for a self-motivated individual capable of working independently and managing multiple projects and priorities effectively. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding organizational skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
