Concrete Craftsman

At Pepper Construction, we are seeking a skilled Concrete Journeyman to join our team in Dublin, OH, USA. As a Concrete Journeyman, you will play a vital role in assisting on the construction site, performing a wide variety of duties and tasks that often require assisting other tradespeople, including laborers and carpenters.

This position involves setting up forms for edge of slab, sidewalks or walls, building forms, pouring concrete, raking to proper grade, grading and prepping subgrade, spreading and smoothing concrete, tooling expansion joints and edges, using stains or colors to add the finishing touch, adding small stones or other materials for decoration, applying waterproofing and sealant to protect the concrete work, and installing wire welded fabric or re-enforcing bar.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be proficient in the use of industry tools and equipment, up to date with the latest technology involving concrete work, detail-oriented, well-organized, with an ability to multi-task, task-oriented, reliable, and committed to meeting deadlines, self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, flexible availability, including some overtime, weekends, and night shifts, OSHA 10, preferred Operator's certificate, preferred, able to lift at least 35 pounds, unassisted, and stand for extended periods.
