Child Therapist Opportunity at Island Psychiatry, PC

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Therapist to join our multidisciplinary Mental Health Practice on Long Island.

Island Psychiatry, PC is a leading provider of mental health services, dedicated to delivering high-quality care to children and adolescents. Our team is committed to advancing the field of mental health, and we are looking for a talented professional who shares our vision.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with children and adolescents, with experience in conducting psychological screenings, evaluations, and developing treatment plans. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary treatment teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive therapeutic services to children and adolescents
  • Complete psychological screenings and evaluations
  • Conduct consultations and make clinical recommendations
  • Develop, maintain, and review treatment plans
  • Consult with interdisciplinary treatment teams
  • Utilize an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to complete progress notes
Requirements:
  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD, LCSW, LMHC)
  • Experience and comfortability with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • Training and expertise working with children and adolescents
  • Experience in working with families with trauma is a plus
