Position Overview:
The Environmental Services team member is responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the school facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough cleaning of floors and walls in assigned areas using appropriate cleaning agents.
- Address spills promptly through wet mopping or wiping.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in restrooms, cafeterias, and other designated areas.
- Organize and keep environmental service closets tidy, ensuring equipment is cleaned after use.
- Identify potential safety hazards within the school and report them to the supervisor.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of events.
- Manage waste disposal by transporting and emptying trash at designated collection points.
- Exhibit enthusiasm and motivation to contribute to the success of the service team.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing products.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in work.
- Ability to interact professionally and courteously with staff, students, parents, and visitors.
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Must be capable of lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, and lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds.
