Job Summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking a compassionate and student-focused Licensed Practical Nurse to provide comprehensive special education health services in a school district in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform basic nursing assessments and observations to evaluate and monitor students' physical health.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by a physician.
  • Assist in identifying health needs based on physician recommendations and student evaluations.
  • Collaborate with general education staff to integrate health care plans into the classroom environment.
  • Ensure services are compliant with IDEA, ensuring that students receive FAPE appropriate to their needs.
  • Prepare and maintain health records and complete documentation in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and school personnel regarding students' health status and care plans.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of a state-approved/accredited practical nursing program
  • Valid North Carolina LPN license
  • 1-2 years of practical nursing experience, ideally in a pediatric, school, or special needs environment
Compensation

$35/hour
