Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Utility Engineer to support our maintenance initiatives. The Utility Engineer will be responsible for assisting with a variety of maintenance tasks, including the operation, upkeep, and inspection of facility systems in compliance with established standards. Regular inspections will be conducted, and findings will be reported to management with actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on plumbing fixtures in restrooms and breakrooms.
- Utilize tools such as plungers and augers for drain clearing.
- Perform general labor tasks, including organizing and managing materials on-site.
- Execute cleaning and maintenance of HVAC components, including registers and radiators.
- Handle minor furniture repairs and maintain door hardware.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of mechanical and electrical rooms through painting and cleaning.
- Carry out general cleaning of exterior entry spaces and mechanical areas.
- Replace lamps and clean light fixtures as needed.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols, particularly during electrical tasks.
- Assist with the replacement of ceiling tiles and air filters.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Technical skills applicable to various systems and maintenance programs.
- Strong analytical abilities for resolving complex technical issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service orientation.
- Must pass background checks and possess a valid driver's license.
Compensation and Benefits:
The pay for this position is $27.23 per hour, with variations based on experience and location. This is a union position, and benefits will be provided in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
