Job Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator provides critical support to the Human Resources Department at Columbia Bank. This role is responsible for maintaining personnel files, handling confidential data, and performing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to represent the department with professionalism and high customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update personnel files, including imaging documents and tracking policy acknowledgments.
• Handle confidential data and maintain the highest level of professionalism and discretion.
• Perform various administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, coordinating onboarding, and preparing termination documents.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives, including the Buddy Program and company-wide surveys.
• Support compliance efforts, including maintaining policies and tracking employee records.
• Provide administrative support to the Learning & Development Department as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
• Administration or back-office experience.
• Basic knowledge of rules and regulations governing HR.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a focus on high customer service.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Work Environment:

This role is based in the Corporate Headquarters in Fair Lawn, NJ, with a flexible schedule that includes 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home. Columbia Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer and an Affirmative Action Employer.
