Role Overview:
The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist serves as the primary expert in clinical pharmacy within the hospital, leading the enhancement of comprehensive pharmacy services. You will be integral in delivering drug information and pharmacotherapy support for patients under your care.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Design and monitor drug therapy, provide patient medication counseling, and engage in Collaborative Drug Therapy Management (CDTM).
- Participate in committees to develop treatment protocols and pharmacy policies.
- Act as a preceptor for PGY2 Pharmacy residents and pharmacy students.
- Educate hospital personnel through Grand Rounds presentations and in-service training sessions.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
- A Doctorate in Pharmacy with a preference for oncology experience.
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency and an ASHP-accredited oncology residency, or equivalent experience.
