Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced CVICU environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining a safe work environment and perform all related job responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Maintain clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.
  • Collect and analyze data to determine actual or potential diagnoses and issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to attain expected outcomes.
  • Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with applicable legal or policy parameters.
  • Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
  • Practice in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
  • Communicate effectively in all areas of practice.
  • Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice.
  • Lead within the professional practice setting and the profession.
  • Integrate evidence and research findings into practice.
  • Contribute to quality nursing practice.
  • Evaluate one's own and others' nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines.
  • Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services.
  • Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.
  • Practice ethically.
  • Promote shared governance or facility decision-making activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-2 years CVICU experience.
  • Current nursing state license.
  • Travel experience a plus.
  • BLS & ACLS Certifications.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members.
