AWS Cloud Systems Engineer

Summary: As a DevOps Engineer at Amazon, you will be responsible for supporting the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things, Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. This role will involve working in a fast-paced environment, solving complex problems and implementing solutions for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy operational tools to automate processes and reduce operational overhead.
  • Collaborate with a team to diagnose and resolve customer issues.
  • Track the health of our services, identify and fix problems on complex systems with massive scale.
  • Work with some of the leading minds in distributed systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with distributed systems at scale.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.
  • Understanding of the principles behind CI/CD.
