About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Freudenberg Performance Materials LP. As a key member of our Maintenance Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant utilities and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Safety and Risk Assessment: Drive a culture of safety awareness and risk assessment within the Maintenance Group.
  • Maintenance Team Leadership: Operate as a Maintenance team leader for assigned projects and maintenance tasks.
  • Plant Utilities and Equipment: Oversee plant utilities and associated equipment and systems.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and upgrade equipment for efficiency, safety, and reliability.
  • Hands-on Work: Perform pipe-fitting, sheet-metal, fabrication, and related work as required.
  • Machine Repairs: Perform machine repairs and maintenance.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain Company-required performance and maintenance records.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance functions as directed.
  • Training and Development: Assist and train other maintenance personnel as assigned.
  • Operator Responsibilities: Support and comply with all Operator responsibilities as outlined in standards established in Organizational Directive on Workplace Safety.
  • Work Environment: Keep work area clean and orderly, and comply with all Company guidelines for maintaining the environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Commit to and participate in activities for continuous improvement.
  • Company Policies: Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 2 - 5 years experience in a Manufacturing/Plant Maintenance Department/Shop, with experience in a leadership role highly desired.
  • Certifications: Certificate or Vocational school training or equivalent work experience in Machine Shop, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Industrial Electricity, and Certificate in Sheet Metal, Pipe Fitting or Machine Shop desired.
  • Skills: Must be able to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and have good command of basic math, reading, and writing.
  • Communication: Good communications skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Availability: Ability to work call-ins, overtime or non-regular hours as needed.
  • Safety Awareness: Excellent sense of safety awareness and good housekeeping.
  • Certifications: Able to obtain Powered Industrial Truck certification, and First-Aid certification may be required.
  • Training: Participate in cross-training plans as needed.
