Role Summary

MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cost Analyst at the experienced level. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, and Word. Exceptional attention to detail, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities, is essential. Proficiency in the English language is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive economic analyses to assess the costs associated with various IT project objectives, including hardware, software, and resource investments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate current and future business costs, addressing integration and security considerations.
  • Analyze system vulnerabilities and remediation costs, developing actionable plans and milestones for security assessments and financial audits.
  • Perform market research and project planning once IT requirements are identified.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies throughout the project analysis process.
  • Engage in project management activities, maintaining progress updates and tracking action items.
  • Refine cost estimates for software development and hardware upgrades.
  • Assist in budget formulation and execution, including problem resolution and program briefings.
  • Prepare independent cost estimates and conduct life-cycle cost analyses.
  • Gather cost and technical data, developing cost estimation methodologies and policies.
  • Support management in budget, billing, reporting, and financial oversight for IT projects.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of accounting practices.
  • Manage multiple project tasks, creating schedules and strategic plans.
  • Draft various documentation, including reports, correspondence, and briefs, as necessary.
  • Identify and implement methods to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field, or an Information Technology (IT) Certification. A High School Diploma is also acceptable.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of experience utilizing business analysis and data visualization tools beyond Excel, such as COGNOS, Tableau, VBA, SAS, or SAWL, is preferred.

Certifications: Must possess a DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification IAT Level II (e.g., CompTIA Security+).

Clearance: Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an Active United States Department of Defense Secret clearance is mandatory.
