This extensive training initiative spans four weeks, consisting of three weeks dedicated to skill development and one week of practical on-the-job experience. The training curriculum includes:

  • Weaponry training and qualifications on various firearms (pistol, rifle, shotgun)
  • Physical agility assessments
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification
  • Operation of airfield vehicles
  • Non-lethal weapon handling
  • Navy personnel qualification standards
  • Navy job qualification requirements

During the training period, participants will receive compensation at the rate of a Security Officer (Category 3) minus $1 per hour. Successful completion of this program may lead to a position as a Security Officer (Category 3).

Key Responsibilities:

As a trainee, you will be expected to:

  • Adhere to all directives and protocols established for security personnel.
  • Manage access control for the installation, including monitoring vehicle and pedestrian movement.
  • Conduct security inspections of buildings and areas, reporting any safety concerns or unsecured premises.
  • Perform both motorized and foot patrols, responding to alarms and detaining violators as necessary.
  • Assist other security personnel and provide initial reports on incidents involving criminal activity or property loss.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possession of a valid Hawaii Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, or pull over 50 lbs with assistance.
  • Willingness to work in various physical positions and conditions.

Security Clearance: Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Compensation & Benefits: The hourly wage for this position is competitive and will be determined based on the applicant's qualifications and experience. Amentum offers a comprehensive benefits package.
