About the Role

The Senior Indirect Tax Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance and associated accounting activities. This includes acting as the key liaison with external CPA firms for the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring prompt and accurate payment of tax liabilities, and managing filings for sales and use taxes, unclaimed property, and personal property taxes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead tax compliance and accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with external CPA firms to prepare tax returns and address tax notices.
  • Manage tax filings, including sales and use taxes, unclaimed property, and personal property taxes.
  • Reconcile tax discrepancies with the Payroll department and ensure payroll tax compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date on local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement processes to communicate tax considerations to the Estimating team.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in federal, state, and local tax.
