Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Power-Flo Technologies Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience working with horizontal lathes, vertical milling machines, and general machine shop equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate conventional lathes, mills, balancing equipment, and commutator profiler.
  • Ability to machine housings, shafts, keyways, and sleeves.
  • Must be familiar with common industry tolerances and fits for motor repair.
  • Fabricate products to meet established quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Establish and follow maintenance schedules for shop equipment.
  • Provide technical expertise as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Organize and maintain personal and shop tools and equipment.
Requirements
  • 5 years mechanical assembly and disassembly experience preferred.
  • Ability to read mechanical prints and schematics.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Basic knowledge of PC usage.
  • Competent with electrical test equipment, shop tools, hand tools, pneumatic tools, hoists, etc.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of electrical theory required.
  • Valid and clean NYS driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work on elevated platforms.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and/or reaching.
  • You may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery.
