Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Franklin Park Sonterra. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our community common areas and resident rooms or apartments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize all common areas, including the lobby, guest restrooms, and hallways.
  • Vacuum and dust all carpeted areas and upholstered furniture.
  • Dust and sanitize all furniture, hanging pictures, and fixtures.
  • Sanitize handrails and clean glass surfaces.
  • Clean and disinfect common areas and restrooms.
  • Mop or vacuum common areas.
  • Clean and disinfect soiled utility bins.
  • Clean and organize laundry areas and storage closets.
  • Ensure the housekeeping cart and other supplies and equipment are in a safe area to prevent injuries.
  • Properly store and label hazardous cleaning products.
  • Clean resident's rooms or apartments by vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting bathrooms.
  • Laundry resident's linens, towels, sheets, and other items according to schedule and as needed.
  • Ensure residents' personal clothing remains separate at all times and is returned promptly to the residents' room or apartment once laundered.
  • Properly dispose of soiled clothing or linens in accordance with infection control standards.
  • Be constantly alert to wipe up any water or liquid on the floors to prevent slips and falls.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with residents and family members.
  • Practice proper body mechanics when lifting and follow safety guidelines.
  • Follow company guidelines for uniforms and name badges.
  • Use company-provided equipment properly as intended.
  • Encourage teamwork and promote company philosophy.
  • Attend required community meetings.
  • Be prompt and able to perform the required duties of the position on a regular, predictable basis.
  • Become familiar and understand the steps for fire evacuation.
