Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Vehicle Repairs and Maintenance: Conduct vehicle repairs and maintenance as assigned, adhering to dealer and factory standards to drive customer loyalty.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate with parts departments and service advisors regularly to manage production and customer communication.
  • Diagnose and Repair: Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by the customer.
  • Conduct Multi-Point Inspections: Conduct multi-point inspections to make recommendations ensuring safety and reliability of customer vehicles.
  • Document Work: Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
  • Maintain Tools and Knowledge: Maintain an inventory of normal technician's tools and stay up-to-date with factory technical bulletins and training classes.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer experiences to drive loyalty.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • ASE Certified: Required.
  • Automotive Technical Training: Varies based on store needs.
  • General Mechanical Skills: Manual dexterity and ability to operate power and hand tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Essential.
  • Organization and Follow-Up Skills: Required.
  • Demonstrated Customer Service Skills: Required.
  • Knowledge of Automotive Repair Life Cycle: Required.
  • Valid In-State Driver's License: Required.
