Job Opportunity at Rose Paving

We are seeking an experienced Class B CDL Truck Driver to join our team in Hartford, CT.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate truck logs and adhere to state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and up-to-date.
  • Communicate effectively with Foreman to receive instructions and report any safety concerns.
  • Conduct regular inspections of truck equipment and supplies to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain a driver's log book.
  • Operate the vehicle safely, handling various terrains and road conditions.
  • Load and unload equipment/materials securely and efficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including fueling, lubricating, and servicing the vehicle.
  • Understand and operate air brakes systems.
  • Assist with tasks in the shop or yard as directed by the Foreman.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50lbs.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License for the State of Connecticut.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous commercial driving experience.
  • DOT certification.
  • Pass a drug test and background screen.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Good eyesight required.
  • Ability to drive up to 8/10 hours daily.
