Job Overview
Ancillary services play a significant role in creating an exceptional experience for our guests at 604 Hospitality Group. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for setting up, preparing the banquet area, and serving food and drinks to event guests with impeccable courtesy, helpfulness, and punctuality. This role requires coordination with the front and back-of-the-house personnel to ensure seamless delivery of a dining experience that exceeds our guests' expectations.

Salary Estimate: $15-$20 per hour, based on location and industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains high-quality guest service by providing servant leadership and treating all guests and staff members with respect.
  • Collaborates closely with the Sales Event Coordinator and Lead Banquet Server on facilitating event details.
  • Accurately communicates event specifics with the manager and reports any needed updates during the event.
  • Ensures setup and breakdown of events adhere to company procedures.
  • Accountable for all equipment and supplies, returning restaurant items to storage areas.
  • Returns or arranges for the return of rented materials.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the Banquet area floor/patio and perimeter grounds area, promptly addressing health hazards and code violations.
  • Completes checkout procedures with the Lead Banquet Server, obtaining their initials on the checkout paperwork before submitting it to a manager.
  • Familiarizes oneself with all menu items offered at the event, accurately answering questions about preparation methods, ingredients, portion sizes, and accompanying side items.
  • Conducts a warm welcome for guests upon arrival, takes orders if time permits, or informs guests they will be assisted within 3 minutes.
  • Takes beverage and food orders accurately for all tables, ensuring less than 2% return due to order mistakes.
  • Keeps beverage glasses filled; removes each round of plates and replenishes utensils.
  • Legibly completes guest checks and accurately enters orders into the POS system following company procedures with 100% accuracy.
  • Picks up orders and completes plate/drink preparation correctly as specified by company expo procedures.
  • Performs check-back procedures with tables within 2 minutes of guests receiving their food and drinks.
  • Totals and presents guest checks, handling payment procedures with 100% accuracy.
  • Performs side-work duties correctly as specified.
  • Follows end-of-shift checkout procedures with 100% accuracy.
  • Complies with alcohol serving procedures, adhering to beverage service standards, awareness standards, and government regulations with 100% accuracy.
