As an MRI Aide at Trinity Health, you will play a vital role in assisting our MRI Technologists in their daily duties. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of our MRI department, providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Technologists with prepping patients for examination
- Welcome and greet patients, introducing yourself and making them feel at ease
- Help patients change and identify special needs, such as wheelchair or hearing defects
- Assist with positioning patients on the MRI table under the direction of the MRI Technologist
- Transport patients and assist with MRI-related tasks
- Access patient information from the hospital information system and input pharmacy charges for contrast
- Update chart notes and scan in paperwork
- Answer phone calls and coordinate patient flow with nursing units and the Emergency Department
- Assist with MRI safety screening, including safety form review and surgical history
- Stock supplies, linen, and prepare the MRI room for the next patient
Requirements:
- High school graduate with patient experience or Medical Assistant certification
- Meet MRI safety screening requirements to work within Zone 4 magnetic field
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral
- Computer knowledge and medical terminology preferred
