About the Job

Job Summary:

An Education Specialist in Speech Therapy is responsible for conducting assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students. This involves developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to help students overcome their challenges and achieve their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech and Communicative Disorders and be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York. They will also have experience working with children in a school setting and possess strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific needs of students.
  • Provide speech therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with education teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide support to students.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Speech and Communicative Disorders from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York.
  • At least one year of experience working with children in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with education teams and parents.
