Responsibilities of a Forklift Operator:
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently
  • Handle, move, and stack products, equipment, or materials
  • Control the movement of the lifting apparatus using levers and pedals
  • Position forks and other lifting devices accurately
  • Monitor inventory levels on the production floor
  • Weigh and record materials or products
  • Document weight on tags, labels, or production schedules
  • Load and unload materials onto or off pallets and skids

Qualifications for a Forklift Operator:
  • Prior experience operating forklifts is preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions
  • Basic mathematical skills, including fractions and decimals
  • Willingness to work overtime and on weekends as needed
  • Capability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without accommodations
