Soliant is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential support in delivering effective speech and language therapy services. In this role, you will collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to enhance the communication skills of students, fostering their academic and social growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Therapeutic Support: Assist in the implementation of therapy activities and exercises as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist. Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to students with communication disorders.
  • Assessment Assistance: Aid in the execution of screenings and assessments under the supervision of an SLP. Gather and report data regarding students' progress and their responses to therapy interventions.
  • Classroom Collaboration: Partner with educators and staff to integrate speech and language objectives into classroom activities. Provide strategies and support to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Progress Documentation: Maintain precise records of therapy sessions, student advancements, and relevant observations. Prepare and submit necessary reports in accordance with school policies.
  • Material Preparation: Assist in the preparation and organization of therapeutic materials and resources essential for effective therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Communication Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related discipline.
  • California State Licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
  • Understanding of state and federal regulations governing speech-language therapy.
  • Experience in working with children or within an educational environment is preferred.
