Job Title: Underwriter

Newmark is seeking a skilled Underwriter to join our team. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for providing financial, market, and underwriting analysis of multifamily loans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and interpret complex multifamily real estate transactions in compliance with agency guidelines.
  • Conduct detailed economic and demographic research to determine feasibility of transactions.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive loan approval packages to the credit committee.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with origination and closing departments and external agency investors.
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of physical real-estate assets as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, real estate, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of commercial underwriting experience.
  • Prior DUS underwriting experience with extensive familiarity of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Multifamily Guides.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 10-20%.
