As a vital member of the Ocean Place team, the Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for our guests. This position requires a blend of customer service skills and operational knowledge to maintain the high standards of our establishment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage accommodation bookings from guests, ensuring accurate collection of personal and payment details.
- Provide comprehensive information regarding hotel policies, procedures, and amenities to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Assist guests in making reservations, particularly for those relocating or in need of temporary housing.
- Safeguard guest reservation data in compliance with credit card security protocols.
- Adhere to training requirements as established by the General Manager to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Conduct routine cleaning and organization of the front desk area to maintain a welcoming environment.
- Oversee inventory levels of front desk supplies and equipment, coordinating with the General Manager for necessary orders.
- Document and report minor repairs or replacements needed for room furnishings and equipment.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for repairs and maintenance.
- Support colleagues with various tasks, including the transportation of linens and assisting in housekeeping duties as required.
- Follow hotel procedures for reporting lost-and-found items to ensure proper handling.
- Preferred experience of at least 1 year in customer service roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with word processing software, and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse personalities.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Physical capability to walk and navigate stairs approximately 20% of the time.
- Ability to frequently kneel, reach, crawl, and twist as necessary to perform job functions.
- Regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of personal hygiene and professional appearance.
