We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in the operating room environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist licensed anesthesia care providers with patient care and equipment setup
- Ensure proper disposal of one-time use items and maintain aseptic technique
- Evaluate equipment needs for patients and assist with connection of monitoring equipment
- Store, use, and handle bulk and cylinder gases safely
- Assist with line placement and check expiration dates on disposable supplies
- Clean up hazardous spills and complete incident documentation
- Associate Degree from Anesthesiology Technology Program or equivalent
- Current licensure in applicable discipline
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date
- One year of nursing assistant and/or patient care experience
