Medical Oncology Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncology Physician to join our team at Curative, a leading comprehensive cancer center. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in advancing biomedical knowledge through laboratory and clinical research, as well as training physicians, scientists, and other healthcare professionals.
About the Role- You will be responsible for teaching and mentoring fellows, residents, and medical students, while also leading clinical trial research and collaborating with a dedicated team of hepatologists and gastroenterology faculty.
- With 50% protected time, you will have the opportunity to focus on academic pursuits and contribute to the development of new treatments and therapies.
- You will work closely with a team of experts to design and implement clinical trials, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and advancing the field of oncology.
We are committed to advancing the field of oncology through innovative research and clinical trials. Our team is currently investigating several promising treatments, including immunotherapy and chemotherapy regimens, for patients with specific genetic mutations.
- MSI-H/dMMR Gastric or GEJ Cancer Trial
- This trial investigates the use of atezolizumab, a new immunotherapy drug, for controlling the spread of cancer in patients with a specific genetic mutation.
- The trial will compare atezolizumab alone and combined with chemotherapy.
- Inoperable Colorectal Liver Metastases Trial
- This trial compares a new approach using Hepatic Arterial Infusion (HAI) pump chemotherapy alongside the standard treatment to the standard treatment alone.
- HAI delivers high doses of chemotherapy directly to the liver tumors, potentially improving tumor control and survival.
- Resected Pancreatic Cancer with BRCA Mutation Trial
- This Phase II clinical trial studies the effectiveness of adding olaparib, a drug that blocks DNA repair, to the treatment plan of patients with pancreatic cancer.
- The patients must have undergone surgery to remove the cancer (resection) and have a specific genetic mutation (BRCA1, BRCA2, or PALB2).
