Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Associate to join our team at Cerity Partners. As a Senior Tax Associate, you will play a key role in client engagements by establishing a personal and direct working relationship with clients. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing complex Individual and Business tax returns and projections for local and nationwide high net worth clients. You will also collaborate with tax and financial advisors to create integrated planning opportunities for high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients. Additionally, you will research, analyze, and resolve a wide range of tax issues. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively communicate with clients to request data, respond to questions, and participate in client meetings as a support role for the lead advisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review complex Individual and Business tax returns and projections for high net worth clients.
  • Collaborate with tax and financial advisors to create integrated planning opportunities for high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve a wide range of tax issues.
  • Communicate with clients to request data, respond to questions, and participate in client meetings as a support role for the lead advisor.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with concentration in accounting or related field - required.
  • 3+ tax seasons in public accounting - required.
  • Experience using Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite (UltraTax) - preferred.
  • Master at Microsoft Excel, providing clear outputs for analysis and comprehension - preferred.
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and the highest level of personal integrity.
  • Keen, consistent attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to independently analytically solve issues both proactively and reactively.
  • Effective at managing various projects and taking them to completion by firm deadlines.
  • Adaptable to evolving processes.
  • Client-centric mindset.
