Position: Radiation Oncology Physician
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive radiation treatment strategies in collaboration with a multidisciplinary oncology team.
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients diagnosed with cancer utilizing radiation therapy methodologies.
  • Administer and supervise radiation therapy, ensuring precision and safety in treatment delivery.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care, including providing guidance to patients and their families regarding treatment options, associated risks, and anticipated outcomes.
  • Engage in tumor boards and multidisciplinary meetings to deliberate on complex cases and coordinate patient management.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and accreditation standards pertaining to radiation therapy.
  • Contribute to clinical trials and research initiatives aimed at advancing the field of radiation oncology.
  • Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals in radiation oncology practices.
  • Implement and oversee quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of care in radiation therapy.
  • Monitor and manage patients throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary based on patient responses and side effects.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess an MD/DO or have completed a radiation oncology residency.
  • Board certification in radiation oncology from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) is required.
  • Current medical license to practice in any state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia is necessary.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in radiation oncology, excluding residency, is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory.
