We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Greenlife Healthcare Staffing. Responsibilities:- Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients in the Emergency Department
- Document observations, assessments, and changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate positive patient care outcomes
- Provide a full range of nursing care to patients with various physical and behavioral problems
- Assess and care for patients with a wide range of physical and psychological diagnoses and treatment modalities
- Care for patients undergoing operative/invasive procedures
- Care for patients requiring special precautions such as isolation
- Insert and maintain peripheral lines
- Maintain central lines for administration of intravenous fluid
- Complete and accurate documentation of care, on time, according to facility/unit policies
- Phlebotomy and bedside testing
- On-call status may be required at the discretion of the Nurse Manager
- Insertion and troubleshooting of Urinary catheters
- Initiates patient education, as prescribed by the physician during discharge
- Display and promote professionalism and excellent customer service during interactions with patients and their families/caregivers
- Must have at least 3 years current experience in an emergency department or major trauma center emergency room with no more than a six-month gap working in that setting
- Must be a graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or in a related field or a master's degree in Nursing or in a related field is highly preferred
- Must have an unrestricted registered nurse license from any state (United States)
- Preferred to have the Certification of Emergency Nursing (CEN) through the Board of Certifications for Emergency Nurses (BCEN). Nurses with Acute/Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) certifications through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Certification Corporation (AACN) with ED experience will also be considered
