We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN specializing in MedSurg/Oncology to join our esteemed team at Mercy Hospital Downtown - Bakersfield. This role is ideal for a skilled nurse looking to expand their experience in a dynamic hospital environment.
Certification Requirements- Certifications: BLS, ACLS; Chemo certification is advantageous.
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a MedSurg/Telemetry setting. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering compassionate care to patients.
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educating patients and their families about treatment plans.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
- Active BLS, ACLS, and California nursing license.
- Shifts: 7 AM to 7 PM.
- Weekend shifts required every two weeks.
- Holidays: 2 major and 1 minor.
- Unit: MedSurg/Oncology.
- Bed Capacity: 27 beds.
- Nurse Ratios: 1:5 for MedSurg, 1:4 for Chemo/Telemetry patients.
- CERNER experience is mandatory.
- Strong central line experience is required.
- Must be passionate about patient education and engagement.
- Flexibility to float to other MedSurg units as needed.
