Radiation Therapist

As a Radiation Therapist at Frederick Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a compassionate and supportive environment. You will work closely with the Radiation Oncology team to provide excellent customer service and ensure that patients receive the best possible treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Administer therapeutic doses of ionizing radiation using advanced linear accelerators in accordance with prescription and instruction of Radiation Oncologists.
- Perform patient scheduling, assessment, treatment plan review, and record and verify software operation.
- Conduct basic simulation activities and assist with complex patient simulations.
- Assess radiation treatment and simulation rooms to ensure all equipment is operational and quality checks have been performed.
- Perform quality assurance procedures and report deficiencies to supervisor and/or Medical Physicist.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved program in Radiation Therapy Technology.
- Board Certified by ARRT or board eligible.
- Certification by the Maryland Board of Physicians as a Radiation Therapist.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Certified/Licensed in Radiation Therapy.
As a Radiation Therapist at Frederick Health, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of patient contact. You will be exposed to bloodborne pathogens and must take necessary precautions to ensure your safety and the safety of others.
