About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate pharmacist to join our team at Walgreens. As a retail pharmacy professional, you will play a critical role in providing patient-centered care and ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provides pharmacy consulting services to patients, addressing their medication needs and concerns.
• Offers preventive and clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcomes services.
• Ensures the proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications within regulatory guidelines.
• Supports the efficient workflow of the pharmacy and assists in identifying ways to optimize financials, inventory management, and patient experience.
Requirements:
• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities, demonstrating a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
Preferred Qualifications:
• At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, and insurance.
