This role encompasses both clinical and managerial responsibilities, focusing on the delivery of comprehensive pharmaceutical services and the overall oversight of pharmacy operations within a primary care setting. The position includes the management of distributive, consultative, and cognitive pharmacy services, all conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards, as well as organizational policies and agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the provision of pharmacy services, ensuring adherence to current legal and professional standards.
- Manage pharmacy operations, including staff supervision and service delivery.
- Provide consultative services to healthcare professionals and patients.
Qualifications
Educational Background and Experience:
- A Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution is required, with a preference for a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
- Preferred candidates will have a minimum of one year of experience in a pharmacy practice setting as a licensed pharmacist.
- Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program is preferred.
- A valid license from the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy is mandatory and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties certification in Pharmacotherapy is preferred.
For candidates assigned to specific health systems, successful completion of initial post-offer requirements is necessary, including:
- Compliance with healthcare personnel testing and immunization protocols, including TB, Hepatitis B, Tdap, MMR, and Varicella.
- Completion of a criminal background check.
