Role Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Girls Basketball Coach to enhance our Falcons Athletic program. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in basketball and experience coaching at the high school level. They will focus on fostering the physical, emotional, and spiritual development of each athlete while embodying our values of empowerment through a faith-based, culturally-engaged, and globally-minded approach.
General Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe environment for all students, adhering to building operation protocols.
- Fulfill job responsibilities as outlined in the specific job description and assist during school drills or emergencies.
- Arrive punctually, dressed appropriately, and prepared for work at designated times.
- Comply with all policies and procedures in the Staff Handbook.
- Build trust within the school community by maintaining respectful and professional relationships with staff and students.
- Adhere to all school procedures and organizational structures.
- Commit to the school's Statement of Faith and the mission of working in a Christian educational setting.
- Design and lead regular practice sessions to enhance player skills and team dynamics.
- Organize and manage team participation in league games, tournaments, and other competitive events.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to players to foster improvement.
- Cultivate a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship and mutual respect.
- Collaborate with school administration, parents, and fellow coaches to ensure the success of the basketball program.
Experience playing basketball at a competitive level.
Coaching experience, ideally at the high school level.
Strong understanding of basketball rules, strategies, and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes.
