The Genesee Intermediate School District is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Early On team. As an Occupational Therapist - Early On, you will play a critical role in providing developmental and educational experiences for children birth to age three.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized family service plans to support children's developmental needs.
- Provide direct services to children and consultation to families and team members to address developmental concerns.
- Collaborate with the team to develop a multi-tiered system of supports to promote children's development.
- Participate in child assessments and interpret evaluation results for families.
- Utilize technology to maintain detailed notes on children's progress and demonstrate an understanding of sensory processing and coaching caregivers in strategies and activities to improve sensory processing skills.
- Represent the district in a professional manner at all times and demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
- Bachelor's degree required. Certification as Registered Occupational Therapist required.
- Evidence of successful work with children with disabilities, birth-to-five years preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with children and adults individually and in a group setting.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in written communications.
- Ability to utilize district technology and work to maintain proficiency, as required skill sets change with technology and/or the needs of the district.
This position requires the ability to work a flexible workday, work week, and work year. The Occupational Therapist - Early On will be required to drive to and from homes and community centers.
