Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

LUKE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Perform physical exams and health histories.
  • Provide health promotions, counseling, and education to patients and families.
  • Administer medications, wound care, and other personalized interventions.
  • Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals.
  • Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
  • Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.
  • Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.

Requirements:

  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within the last 5 years as a RN in a NICU setting.
  • Possess and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and S.T.A.B.L.E Program Certifications.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
  • Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.

The work to be performed under this contract will be at the United States Naval Hospital Guam and associated branch medical clinics within a 40-mile radius of their assigned MTF.
