Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation of units to meet Chamberlin standards and ensure a sufficient supply of ready units for the community.
  • Diagnose and resolve minor HVAC issues, appliance malfunctions, plumbing repairs, painting, light carpentry, and drywall fixes.
  • Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and service needs.
  • Conduct necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
  • Perform daily pool maintenance, ensuring proper chemical balance and safety of the area.
  • Re-key locks and produce keys as required.
  • Inspect the property for potential safety hazards, addressing them promptly and reporting to the Facilities and Service Manager.
  • Maintain the property’s exterior by managing landscaping, debris removal, and cleanliness of common areas.
  • Participate in on-call duties with fellow service team members, being available for emergency situations.
  • Assist in tracking inventory of materials, parts, and supplies.
  • Keep accurate records of preventive maintenance, service requests, expenses, and work status.
Qualifications:
  • General knowledge in plumbing, electrical systems, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscaping, appliances, and OSHA standards.
  • Understanding of building systems and service orientation.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Prior experience as a make-ready technician or in a similar role is preferred.
  • HVAC and CPO certifications are advantageous.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Work Schedule:
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday during business hours.
  • Evening and weekend work may be necessary based on operational needs.
Compensation:
  • Hourly wage ranges from $20 to $23.
