Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Auditor I to join our team at the Department of Social Services. As a key member of our Office of Provider Reimbursement and Audits, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial information for various programs within our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct audits and reviews of financial information for providers of different programs, including Community Action Programs, Early Childhood Enrichment programs, Behavioral Healthcare Faculties, Hospitals, and Clinics.
  • Monitor the various agencies that receive federal grants through our department.
  • Assist with internal reviews of various programs within our department to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal rules and policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Auditing, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in auditing or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), standards, and practices and generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS).
  • Knowledge of government auditing standards and governmental accounting practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
