Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Dredging Field Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our marine-based Dredging Division, you will be responsible for utilizing engineering principles to take part in project layout, topographic and hydrographic surveying, production guidance, monitoring, reporting, and dredging quality control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in project layout and file design
  • Take part in dredge cut and fill planning and management
  • Provide accurate vessel positioning to ensure dredging operations take place within defined permit limits
  • Coordinate survey activities with the Project Engineer to meet schedule requirements
  • Collect and process hydrographic and topographic survey data
  • Learn the fundamentals of dredge production utilizing proprietary production tools and analysis programs
  • Provide dredge production guidance, monitoring, and reporting
  • Ensure Quality Control of the dredging process
Requirements
  • Entry Level Position for candidates with target backgrounds in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field of study
  • 1-3 years' experience in the dredging or survey industry in lieu of a bachelor's degree
  • Ability to be trained to utilize current surveying equipment and techniques
  • Ability to accurately read contract drawings
  • Ability to perform earthwork volume computations
